Hello from Peru!
We have been travelling for about a week now, so we will try to get everyone up to speed with a few posts. We started our travels in Lima. Spent a few days getting adjusted to spanish speaking life and our road ahead. We didn´t have a lot of photos to choose from for Lima, since we were not that amoured with the city and didn´t snap many. We stayed in a nicer area of town, which worked for us as a starting point. The city is big and smoky, with lots of traffic and people. Not sure if it was just us, but we seemed to get the evil eye from people and people seemed to be kind of depressed. Maybe it was because the sun doesn´t seem to shine. Nice high overcast clouds everyday that we were there, sweet!
The picture we have posted is from an archeological site we visited within the city, which was pretty cool. The site dated back to the 4th century.
We travelled into the centre of town both days on these public mini buses which was probably the most cultural thing we did while we were there. Getting to know the people you know. Anyways we decided to skip town after two nights and hopped on an overnight bus to a place called Ayacucho on our way southeast to Cusco.
